I think we're treading on some loose ground here... and it's my fault.. LOL Back to the normally schedule program.
I do want to know if Khris is able to ahhhh.... handle(?) ST1100 tires now...
Thanks!
Mark

This could go so many directions...LOL
I've changed about 25 tires so far... Can't imagine 1100 tires any more difficult to handle than the Stones on the 1300's....

The only issue I've had with 1100s is the rear hub doesn't clip into the wheel like on the 1300s. So, you have to use a tool to pry the wheel out - slot is under the final drive - so the hub comes off w/wheel. Otherwise the hub stays in and you don't have room for the wheel to come off. This is actually how the tenere is also and it's a bear if you don't know that on the 1st tire change.
Oh... you mean you have to use part of the ST1100's tool kit to get the tire/hub seperated... yup... you use the plier handle into that little gap and pry.
Nice to have a tool kit!!!
Khris... I've done both on my Harbor Freight, they tires are different sizes; but, they go on and off the same.
