Shadowfax: 75,000 miles old (milestone)

It's shameless to post this really but Shadowfax has broken his 75,000 miles barrier this week, bless him.

We celebrate next week with a 16,000 mile service; the only service I won't do myself now. He's going to have his thermostat pulled, SMC serviced, and rounded-out front caliper bolts and pins exchanged. And then a pair of stout PR2s is due shortly after with another dose of Puncturesafe.

He's an expensive old nag but I love him.

It's my Wife's birthday soon, too. The budget's gonna be tight this year, I think.

My bike turned over 78,000 yesterday while I was on the RTE to Kernville!

I missed seeing the 77,777 by 2 miles!

30,000+ miles odd between us, I think, Mark since Aug '08 with 3-months we barely rode while redundant last March to July.

We should achieve 50K between us by New Year if I don't do the sensible thing and find a job closer to home (unlikley in my 'industry' or this climate).

Commuting's become my hobby. Neat.

wow! I'm glad it's not just me...the SO tells me I'm crazy when I mention mileage and watching it....now I have proof that I"m not the only one with this affliction!!!!
