I like it. Nice job on the install and the instructions provided.
If the wife and I start motocamocking more I might follow in your foot steps.
Thanks for the info.

This will be the base for the trailer wiring. It uses a dedicated power line to supply the power to the trailer lights, only pulling a reference current from the factory harness to activate. By going this way, there is very little load on the bikes wiring. Also, I can use this for other things by adapting cheap 4 way connectors to get power and ground. My bike already has a clearance hole drilled into the the rear section, that will allow all the wiring to end up under the rear seat. This was done when the bike was in police service.

This will be attached under the top box, allowing my trailer to be plugged into it, without a gangling wire somewhere.

This will be attached to the factory trailer wiring and screwed to the trailer tongue. I will connect the two using a 4 way pigtail. This way, when not in use, no dangling wire on the trailer either, just unplug the cable and store.

Now, all I need is a trailer and......(we need a moto-trailer emoji........)

Back to this again. While out riding last weekend, during a conversation with a fellow rider, it turns out he has a similar trailer to the harbor freight unit(that they now charge 600 bucks for, advertising it as a motorcycle trailer) So, seeing as he doesn't need it anymore, he has graciously allowed me to purchase it. I'm headed out on thursday for a 10 hour road trip to visit my dad and then go to my daughters school show(she has a solo) conducting a little business between stops. That should finish off my back tire. So after that, it's time to Darkside the ST, and head to Ohio.

Having a trailer for the occasional use is good, even great if you can get one for a fair price.
Darksiding the ST is equally wonderful. Just need to remember to occasionally check your rear bearings. Most folks will do the checks when they replace the tire and that is a good interval. But a darkside ST is on a whole different maintenance schedule for replacing the rear rubber, swap the front tire for double dark-side and you have twice the maintenance schedule problems, but four times the efficiency of tire dollar per mile and not to mention the increased traction.
