Change Odometer/Tripmeter Back to Miles

I have managed to change my odometer display from miles to KM's on my ST1300. Does anyone have an idea how to change it back to read miles?

I took a look at the owners manual and under the Multi-display section it informs me that the ODO and TRIP can show either miles or kilometers. Unfortunately I can not find how to switch from one to the other.

Thanks,
Tom

Hold FCD/H for at least two seconds will change between miles and kilometers when ( FCD/H button has three modes) the mode set to "no display" (no icons).

So, set the display to no MPG info or blank, then hold the FCD/H for two seconds or so.

Thanks for your help! I was able to change my settings back to miles. It also helps explain how I ended up changing to kilometers. I need to stop messing with the FCD/H button with my gloves on.

Same thing happened to me this morning. (thick gloves are to blame) I am glad this old thread was still available.

I saw the instructions some months back, but missed the point about setting the display to "blank" first. Once I saw that, worked like a charm. Thanks for the post!! Now I see 176,000+ instead of 83,000. Of course, now I know what will happen when I hit 200,000. I guess I could sell it on eBay as "New, other..."

The forum to the rescue again. I've had the bike fifteen years, and never had to switch from km to miles. Bulky gloves at the gas station, resetting the "A" trip meter...
