Several years ago I was visiting an old friend in Northants (Weedon). We drove around quite a bit of that part of England and went through Bishops Itchington at one point. I suggested that we should open a pub there and call it The Bishop's Itch...or the Itchy Bishop! My friend said he didn't think the parish would go for that.

I always thought there should be an Old Flounder Newfoundland. ;-)

There may well BE an "Old Flounder" somewhere on the Rock, I couldn't tell you. But I do know that there's an Old Broad Cove Road and a town called Joe Batt's Arm!

We got a million of 'em and Newfoundland and Labrador takes the cake for "colourful" names...although "Head-Bashed-In Buffalo Jump" is a pretty good one and let's not forget Medicine Hat, Alberta!
