Same thing just happened to me while traveling across northeast Ohio. i just road from San Diego to San Antonio and am on my way to Rochester. My travels will take me back to San Diego.

This blister could have popped at some high speeds but forunately I felt it first. Only one shop in the area has a tire that fits and yes - it is a Dunlop. I suppose this falls into the beggars can't be choosy category but I will replace the tire at my first convenience.
If you come through Dallas, TX on your way back let me know and we can change that out for something else.

Just got off the phone with national sales manager for Dunlop. Really great guy that has his tires service here at the shop. Lets see where it goes from here.

Tim, I'm such a pessimist. Don't be surprised if they call you back to notify you that they are terminating your account. :shrug2: :D

It's like they cover thier ears and go LALALALALALALALA! Not sure whats going on but I think they will not admit to the problem.
The days of companies accepting responsibility and proactively handling their problems went out the window after lawyers started using it against them. Any admission by a tire company that their tire has a problem is candy to the lawyers.

Tim talked to the National sales mgr for Dunlop. He sent an e-mail wanting to send a call tag for the tire. Hopefully something will come of it-still have cramps in my hands from the death-grip ride home.

And as usual, by the time I got off the phone with Tim, my new Avon Storm II was sitting on my office door step(almost anyway).

Stay tuned.

I'm not sold on the Storm II either. Klackey just had his fail yesterday on the BRP in NC.

Apparently the side wall went to cords and is leaking. He limped it into town with a police escort and was going to call someone on the Ran list last night.

He's in Asheville.

Dunlop rep sent a call tag for mine 2 months ago. I just received a new one on wednesday for free. I only run Michelins now. I will probably just keep it for a ran list spare.

I had a Dunlop Roadsmart front tire bubble up the same way last week. The tire has 10,800 miles on it and I was fixing to change it anyhow.
