I have a V1 on the bike and a 8500 in the RX-8. I still like the V1 the best. The directional indicator and bogey counter are neat features. A few years ago we were riding into a town somewhere in Idaho and a LEO was hiding behind a speed indicator sign. The counter registered '2' bogeys and tipped us off to the hiding officer. The directional indicator is helpful when you have someone coming up behind you.

The Escorts have bogy counters too but you have to set the display alert to expert meter mode. I think it can track 8 bogies simultaneously. I've seen as many as four at once before. This seems to be Escort's best kept secret or something.
