First AD made the long awaited Clear turn signal lenses now Ken is making a perfect scale model of our beloved ST1100! I love the fact that there is such a following and devotion to this bike, makes me even more glad of my decision some years back to go with an ST over a Connie!

Keep up the awesome work Ken, and as others have said... I'm in for one as long as its well below the $900 mark!

Hi all,
the price depends on 3d printing cost. There are many material options like Acrylic resin ,ABS,nylon,plaster...
but I do not want to compromise with cheap material, to make surface beautiful. After comparing cost and quality ,
I found the Acrylic resin is good.
90% of this ST1100 are 3D printed materials. Tires,alloy wheel,throttle and brake lever are from Tamiya's CBR1100,
wind shield and front fender will be made with vacuum molding.

Ad,I'm glad to hear that!
SupraSabre thanks a lot.
Cheese,I'm encouraged by your words.
Vinny,I made effort reducing the cubic capacity of parts
and it will effective for cost reduction.
Slasher, I'm proud that Honda's machine could have such many enthusiast for long time.

Anyway, $900 is exceeding Papa's pocket money ;-)
I wanna effort to provide this model for ST lovers in the world.

Hi ST1100Y,thanks a lot(Arigatou gozaimasu).
I'm just mad for ST1100 ;-)
The coil in rear shock is elastic. But not strong enough for supporting full weight.
So just ornamental for this model.

Hello everyone,I'm still waiting for final 3D-printed parts.
while I'm waiting I made a display model of Half-cut ST1100.
This was the test molding in the very beginning of this project.
I made it with resin wood, and there is only left side of body.

For simulating of paint and assembling,I made it in advance.

I am so envious of 1100 owners now.
No need, there was a licensed model of the 1300 around, whilst the 1100 always remained the unwanted stepchild in this... despite its longer production time and way higher global sales numbers...

"was" being the operative word.

I never got a real look at one other than a pic of one for sale for awhile on this forum. I'm wondering if the quality is equal to that of Kenji's 1100. I've seen various examples of "licensed" replicas that bore the quality of Hot Wheels toys. Hardly worth more than $30 to me if that. Once they become scarce all bets are off though.

Sure, Kenji's project now is a piece of art, not a commercial product...

Hello all!
Thanks for your kind comment.
Last Friday I got new 3D printed parts made by HD3500MAX.
It looks better in surface than former version made by Agilista.
You can see the thin pipe (comparing with tooth pick)...incredible.

I immediately polished them up and started painting.
The genuine paint of my ST is supposed to be used.

I hope I could show you the completed model next week end.

Wow! I've been following this thread for some time. Beautiful work, Ken!!

Will this be a "kit" that we can assemble and paint ourselves? That would be great, in my humble opinion. I love model kits and as many of you know, I'm quite partial to the beST colo(u)r Honda ever put on a vehicle: Sparkling Silver Metallic!
