The current Banner has just about been filled up with signatures on the back.

Here's a pic from CampSTOC:

motomac has it and will take it to a couple more events before handing it back to me, he says it's got just a little more room left for some smaller events.

I was thinking I could put it on ebay with a reserve price of the cost of a new one. I have a couple feelers out for quotes from the original supplier and someone else. I was thinking that anything over the cost of a new one would be donated to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

I think the last one was around $120. Or, we could put it in the for sale section with a highest bidder over $xxx get's it type thing but figured ebay was more official... either way is fine with me.

Any thoughts?

I doubt anyone outside the forum would care. Just wanted to make it less of a hassle by going through ebay however, there's also a cost involved.

I also didn't want to make it seem like a lotto by having a raffle with everyone buying chances.. that's a violation of TX gambling laws..

So, seems like a for sale to highest bidder thing here is fair. The more I think about it the more I think I'll nix the ebay idea.

Seem to me like this should be retired not sold. Maybe we should be starting a STOC museum!

There's lots of options.

One thing we could do is give it away every year to the member of the year for that year... and just buy a new one each year and let the current site funds pay for it..

I could get one ordered every December so it available for the first event of the year and then on 12/31 announce the Member Of The Year and send them the banner.

I kinda like that idea...

I like the idea of giving it to the member of the year. I'll gladly donate a few bucks for a new one each year.
