1100 taillight lens swap - anyone done it?

I want to put one taillight lens on another taillight reflector assembly. There are latches around the perimeter in addition to an adhesive/sealant.

Does anyone know if the adhesive softens with heat like with the front signals? How hot for how long without risking melting the plastic parts?

I can't tell you about the 1100 specifically but I have used 200-250*F on the oven to soften sealants used on headlight assemblies. Preheat, place in oven for 5 minutes, no more.
