Well I did the complete 16000 mile service to my bike this weekend. My bike has 16075 miles on it.
Inspect valve clearances (all with in spec. - whew)
Change oil and filter ( it wasn't due for another couple thousand miles but I figured I was in there so go ahead and add new oil as well - it was quite dirty)
Replace brake and clutch fluid (as well as bleed all lines.)
New air filter (old one was dirtier than I expected, bugs, dust, grime etc..)
Replace spark plugs.
Inspect and tighten all water hose fittings (that I could reach- the hose clamps had relaxed a litte)
Inspect brake pads ( they are about 1/2 worn- will wait till later, although I bought new ones and have them ready to go when needed)
General cleaning and overall inspection (under the plastic)
Inspect final drive fluid ( it is OK)
Buttoned it all back up and took it for a 100 mile ride today and all is well, no leaks that I could see..and ready for the next 16,000 miles.
