I need to get up to speed on the '08 FJR 1300 models. In the NADA Guide, I see two such models: they are called FJR13AEXS/C and FJR13AXB/C.

Which has ABS? Or do they both have ABS?

Do they both have Yamaha's version of (what Honda calls) Linked Brakes?
What does Yamaha call such brakes?

Does one or both of them allow gear shifting without pulling the clutch lever?

Any other notable electrical or mechanical differences between the two?

Was there but one paint color for the US for '08?

Were significant changes made to later FJR ABS models, or was the design of the ABS model(s) pretty well polished up by 2008?

Thanks for looking; keep on cooking.

I have a fuzzy photo of the title for this 2008 FJR1300.

The model appears there as:
FJR13AXB/C, which matches the second model name I listed in my original post above. (That name came from the NADA used motorcycle guide.)

The VIN appears in my title photo as something like:

JYARP15E88A004375 .

That VIN seems to at least be in the right ballpark. Some use that VIN to describe this bike as an '08 FJR1300A.

What do FJR owners call this bike?

What does Yamaha call it?

Does that VIN look valid to you?

What is the main difference between it and the other '08 FJR13 model sold in the USA?
