Joe, is that the stock “sport short” windshield or a werks shield? I gotta change the tall one on my bike. It works ok, but I don’t like the look…..too tall. The werks 24 looks about right to me. Very much like the one above on your bike.

That looks like a windshield I could live with, lots of aftermarket windshields are the size of a barn door. I ride mostly with the shield in the lowest position and don’t want to look through it. On really cold days I will raise it for a bit to warm up a bit.

How do you like the GS compared to the RT?

Two totally different bikes! I liked both just as much as the other but the GS I feel like I can go anywhere I want! The RT was a rocket ship and if I wanted to put miles down in ease the RT was the way to go!

Thanks, was thinking of the GSA as a 2nd bike in the future but I'd use it the same way as the RT so doesn't make a lot of sense lol..

The GSA have a lot more wind protection than my regular GS, I have never ridden one but they are a lot bigger and when I bought my GS I wanted to go smaller at the time. You should ride one and try it out, i believe they may be as good as RT almost?? The RT is a sweet bike!!

When I bought the GS I wanted something a little slower than the RT for when riding with my wife on her spyder. This GS definitely does that and has slowed me down so what, the RT would easily cruise on highway 80-90 no problem all day long and my GS, 70-75 is comfortable not saying I can’t do 80-90 but just more comfortable at 70-75.

I have a GS/A that I've never ridden, but we all know that many (most) of them never see trails or rocks or dirt, and spend their lives as touring bikes.
Mules, maybe, because they are often packed out like a Conestoga wagon of 200 years ago.

So when do you plan on picking that rascal up? They are a fine ride! Mine is one of those that will likely never see the dirt but it is a fine touring bike on its own. The wind protection on my GS/A is better than my old ST and even better than the K1600 that I recently sold. Someday I hope to get back on mine again! (recovering from back surgery now)
