6 oz coolant top-off

In Jan 2013 I replaced the t-stat hoses and o-ring and torqued new wide ss clamps.
I added 6 oz. of coolant yesterday Oct 22, 2013 to top off my overflow tank to the full mark. (8,600 miles since Jan 2013)
I have seen no leaks and smell no antifreeze since January.

Is it normal to lose this much anti freeze with no sign or smell of leaks ?

I know its not apples to apples but my Honda Pilot never goes down on antifreeze.

Could just be getting rid of all the bubbles and trapped air from the hose and coolant change......ride it some more and see if it goes down again......

Agree.... it likely happened in the first few rides. Normal. I usually overfill the reservoir a little after a coolant change and check a couple of weeks later. Usually it ends up on the full mark.

It was so easy to use it on my car, (Acura), that I did all four vehicles. ON only one did I need to add coolant later on, and it was only a dribble. It really made filling the cooling system up a breeze.
