A friend came over yesterday and we did another successful alternator upgrade. I am so thankful for the instructions and parts list made available to us all. When we finished and tried to do the voltage test it only showed 10.5 volts?? Turns out my friend didn’t hook the new wire to the positive side of the battery. After some friendly rubbing we hooked it up and we had 14.4 volts. While the bike was here we had to weld a new piece onto the end of the muffler where it fit into the wye. The old muffler was a little rusted. We also rebuilt all three of his brake calipers and replaced the pads. It’s gonna run like new again!!
