Hey, all!

After discovering and tracking down an oil leak on my 1993 ST1100, I'm trying to get some direction/advice on where to locate the Hitachi 91306-MS2-611 O-ring, which sets between the alternator cover and alternator case. All of my efforts have led to dead-ends with the words "Unavailable", "Out of Stock", "Discontinued" and "lol" staring back at me...

Does anyone know of a source or valid alternative for this o-ring? I am able to source the other which sits at the other end of the alternator case (91302-MM4-003).

And on that note, am I searching in vain? I'm truly not 100% certain that the one I'm seeking, but base on the location of the drip, I'm 90% certain. But if the Gurus here can tell me that O-ring never fails, and that it is the other for certain, I will more forward with that alone.

Thanks!Alternator O-ring 2.jpg

I'm thinking you're out of luck. Maybe try Silver's Spares. The original is in UK and a US branch in Pa. (I think). NutJob Bike Parts on facebook says they have one but who knows?

CSMNL lists it as 95.5x2.4 mm, maybe other sources (automotive, construction) carry this dimension.

I hope I'm wrong, but an oil leak like that is what started me down the path of doing the 40 amp upgrade. I hope it's just the o-ring, but the 28 amp alternators are notorious for going out, when they start leaking. Just ask the two or three hundred guys here who have gone through the process or up grading the 28 amp with the 40 amp. Do a little research. It's well documented on this site, as is the fix.

Same issue with '94 ST1100 and no o-rings available from anyone including David Silver Spares.
Going to have to search various o-ring manufacturers/suppliers.
