Adjustable seat

This looks interesting. While we have a seat that adjusts height and angle, it looks like BMW has filed for a patent for a seat that looks to adjust the contour to fit different riders. Very interesting. I like the idea of being able to adjust it while underway. It would be great to add or subtract stiffness during a ride too.

It's always struck me as strange that the motorcycling community just took the seat we were given. Although manufacturers now offer different height seats and settings, plus comfort seats etc. These usually cost extra of course.
I can't imagine someone buying a car expecting to purchase different seats, height adjusters, lumbar support, tilt adjust etc.
It's great that BMW are working on a new seat type, although I'll bet it won't come cheap, if it ever comes at all.
Why can't pegs, bars, seats have adjustability and comfort from the start. It would cost little and improve safety through extended comfort. Even pedal cycles are easier to adjust.

Agreed. The fact that they can sell bricks to sit on and get away with it amazes me.
