I have a 2002 that has 5 exhaust valves that require adjustment.
valve Fwd Rear Fwd Rear
#1 intake .006" & .006" exhaust .008" & .008"
#3 intake .006" & .006" exhaust .010" & .010"
#2 intake .006" & .006" exhaust .006" & .008"
#4 intake .007" & .007" exhaust .007" & .010"
I have never done this kind of adjustment on an engine before so any advice or recommendations will be appreciated. I am in Oceanside CA and disassembled the bike today to take measurments. I am comfortable checking the clearance but now that I need to adjust, pulling the cam shaft and valve lifters to get to the shim after lining every thing up is a little overwhelming. I would appreciate some one who has done this before stopping by, I will buy coffee, lunch, what ever, in order to make sure I do not screw it up.
