Alternator plate removal 40 amp

Hi how do I separate the 40amp plate from the driving gear ?

Remove all the fasteners and pull it rearward.

Putting it back won't be as easy as the teeth on the split driven gear will move out alignment once you pull it away from the drive gear. Search for "Lewis Pin" to reinstall it.
