Encourage said new owner to join our forum.

Second thing new owner should be encouraged to do (first would be an intro) would be to search the forum on the word "oil" and the phrases "motor oil" and "best oil".

Perhaps new owner should also be encouraged to add some gas stabilizer to the new bike, 'cause new owner will be reading for the foreseeable future.

Drain the oil, put the bike up on blocks, change all the fluids, pull the battery for long term storage....On second thought, if he could read, he would not have asked this question.
