Hello Everyone:

I am new to the ST world. I am a previous BMW RT owner. I changed my own tires using the HFT tire changer and the Mojo Bar from Mitch of the RT forum. I need to change my tires. Are there any special things to note using the HFT tire changer and the ST or is it a straightforward process, using it like i did on the RT.

Second ? How much molybedenum paste do folks put on the splines when re-installing? Thanks very much in advance

Steve, I believe you'll find changing the ST tires to be very much like changing the RT's tires, nothing special.

The manual calls for 3 grams of moly on the mating surface between the wheel hub and final driven flange and 5 grams on the final gear case splines and driven flange - however much 3 & 5 grams are! I just paint on a liberal, even coating.

Steve, suggest you look at this thread.

If you use the HF tire changer without some mods, you run a very good chance of scratching your rims.

Good luck and have fun!!
