Glad to hear you found the source of your shake Gene. I had Avons installed on my 02 ST1100 for over 700 miles now, and haven't had any problems. Of course, this being my first ST I can't compare to any other brand of tire.

This weekend will be my first LONG trip, as my friends and I are headed up to Americade for the weekend. This'll be my first time there. Can't wait!!!

Is this bait? (Mmmmm, bait!) :D

I'm in the market for a STorm front tire for STick. Best place to buy? (No free shipping at SWMoto on one tire.)

Avon Storms AV55 & AV56 on a 1991 ST1100:

At 4,345 miles the Avon Storms are still loud, the rougher the road the LOUDER the tire volume gets. A lot louder than the previous Exedras. Nothing a 32dB earplugs won't relieve, just enough to consider another brand at replacement time, also depends on the mileage they get. Tread wear looks good at 4K miles. No wobbles hands on/off bars or during accelerate or de-accelerate.

Conclusion: The bike feels 50 pounds lighter and likes the twisties a little bit better than the OEM Exedras. Those old fashoned bia ply Exedras' are hard to beat overall.
