I am going to replace my OEM Bridgestone with an Avon front. Not quite sure which is the correct Avon tire everyone is using. Is the 55 a replacement for the 45, as I cant seem to find anyone who sells the 45 in the size I need. Can I just replace the front with an Avon, and still use the OEM bridgestone on the rear, or should I get a matched set...same mfg? Thanks.

You like it better if you get them replaced at the same time; but, there is not *actual* reason to do so.

The Avon STorm is the replacement for the Avon Azaro. I ordered mine from swmototire.com.

+1 on the STorms!!

+1 on getting a matching set.

The bike will feel 50 pounds lighter and, at least for me, the STorms are MUCH more confidence inspiring in the twisties!

Currently Avon does not have a fitment approved for the ST1300.

I personally use Avon Storms.

I've got a brand spanking new set of Storms delivered to my door at dinner time.

Front: AV55 120/70 ZR 18
Rear: AV56 170/60 ZR 17

Spring is just around the corner!

PS - Maggie drooled when she saw what the UPS guy brought. Usually it's something for her ride!

Hi John,
Where did you find the "Z" speed rated tires as my book lists the Storms as a "W" speed rating, not that it makes a lot of difference.
