Thanks everyone on the Thanks and congrats. It was easy to do, just feed it cheap gas and set the cruise on a nice steady speed all day. I hope to make it to 300,000 with bike then I may even give it a good wash.

I did replace the Ujoint again at 252,000. First Ujoint went out at 126,000 so I guess I got money's worth out of those parts. I was a bit paranoid riding home from Tennessee last week, thought I was feeling a shot bearing somewhere and replaced some items. I also replaced the front wheel bearings today for the first time. One had a bit of a lump so I replaced them today. The rear bearings where checked well and are still rolling good. I'm not sure the Ujoint was all that bad as it seems good. I may have to cut it open just to check all the Ujoint bearings.

The lump could also just be the non stock type tires had too many miles and were just "Lumpy". Those are being replace now also.

Did that car tire with 100,000 miles on it make you think you had a bad unjoint? :D
You might hit 300,000 before I hit 100,000.

Come on Kieth. it only had 44,400 miles.

I'm done with the work and best I could come up with is the front bearings both have a single catch in them. Maybe the engine is just getting worn and I feel more vibration now.?

Question: did your odometer go to zero at 200k miles and start counting again so it only shows 50k+ miles now?

Thanks for the service info, I was wondering when to replace wheel bearings, but I will now keep a close eye on the Ujoint and maybe just replace it soon before it is an issue....

Yes at 199,999 it went back to being a new bike! The reason is the very left digit of the miles display can only display a 1 so it has to start over.
