I bought a Western Power Sports battery from Sloans for around $70. Will be a year old in July, so far no problems. Only time will tell if going cheap will have been worth it.

I've been pleased with the MotoBatt MBTX9U I've had for 9 months.

Almost 2-1/2 years on my Odyssey PC545 battery. Click HERE for my installation article. Wasn't cheap, but I'm impressed so far ... and I had two Yuasa batteries die on me.

My factory battery has lasted 6 years so I decided to go with the same battery from Two Brothers. Even at the cost spread over 6 years I'd say that's a pretty good deal.

Except that you didn't get the same battery as what came in your bike. While the factory Yuasa usually lasts around 6 years, replacement Yuasas usually last around 2 or 3 years.

Makes no sense that Yuasa would make two different batteries, one they sell to Honda and one for over the counter sales. I'll let you know when it kicks the bucket, hopefully not for 4 to 6 years. :D

My wet cell Yuasa was purchased over the www for $49...shipped dry from Colorado. This will be it's 3rd season in my '82 WING. I always get 6+ from a dry shipped wet cell Yuasa. I don't subscribe to YUASA shipping a different battery to a customer over a manufacturer. Say what you like...I stick with what works for me. Many mtcyls...few YUASA's over my lifetime. That's why I stick with HONDA's cycles too...never been disappointed or surprised. Inexpensive, consistent design and quality.

I see that Alien Motion has there AM-12 battery on sale for 124.99 free shipping. It's a LiFePO4 and only weighs 2 lbs 12oz. Has anybody tried these in a 1300 yet? I have the little 4 cell in my DRZ400 but not much time on it.
