Because BMW and Apple are huge marketing machines that want you to think all their stuff is more cool than anybody else........ and lots are believin' it. There's more being born every minute..... kinda makes you want to be a shareholder?

And since it's an iPhone app, if I had a Beemer that broke down last weekend in the vast NO SERVICE zone known as Upstate New York this app would have done me no good. Maybe Apple should come out with an iPhone app that makes the phone work despite AT&T's crappy network. I know, they could call it "Verizon."
