brake light not workiing

Or a bad wire to it.
Switch should be right at the right brake handle fulcrum point.
Might also be just gunked up. Do you hear a click when you pull the handle in?

Just checked. There's definately a clicking sound from the switch when you squeeze the front brake hanlde. Already dark and raining at the salt mine to see exactly how it connects.
Looks like a simple 1 screw and 2 spade connectors.

But you have to remove the lever first. Makes it easer to R/R the switch
Thanks, couldn't tell just looking at it. I wasn't going to try or I'd end up braking it..

Unplug the two wires and touch them together. If the light comes on it is the switch. If it is not clicking, it is probably the switch. There is just the two wires and one screw. I had mine replaced under warranty. It is only a twenty dollar part. I carry a spare with me now. Not worth messing with the warranty.
I just replace mine a couple weeks ago, didn't have to remove the lever at all.
About 17 bucks from bike bandit.
Other than replacing the thermostat at 30,000 miles, that's the only part I've had to replace in over 100,000 miles. Easily the most reliable motorcycle of ever owned.
