I must change out my Bridgstone front tire, it only has 4200 miles...thats it, and yes...I do check my air pressure to 41psi. I cant figure why this tire was wasted so quickly,especially since it was a front tire. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone get a tire with excellent mileage?

Was this the OEM 020 Battleax? I got 10K out of mine. Was the proper procedure for "setting" the axle followed when tightening the bolts? Was the wear even, or did you get cupping or something odd?

You didn't say what bike, but for ST1300 this should be 42 psi cold. And yes, one pound can make a substantial difference over a long time.

Heck, most tire pressure gauges are off a pound or two.
