I'm sure you'll hear different from some others experience, but for me I'll not be buying any more GTs. I had just as much mileage from the 023's with better handling. The 023GT's feel just like the BT020's. For me, they didn't feel as 'stuck' to the road.

I've ran both of the BT023 models and I still feel no difference between them. Kind of like beer, you put a few of the regular brands in front of me and I can't tell the difference. I went with the GT's as I customarily have a passenger and I pull a trailer. I like the heavy duty models.

023GT was the one for me. I felt it was much better over my previous tyre and it is the proper designated tyre for the ST.
It is not really the proper designated tire for the ST1300 according to Honda's manuals and the DOT placard on the motorcycle. Bridgestone's fitment guide doesn't recommend it either probably because the GT rear tire doesn't come in the OEM size to properly fit the ST's 5" wide rear rim. Of course plenty of people have fit 180/55s instead of 170/60s on the ST and like them.

The GT tire on the ST does allow an extra 22 lbs of load rating over the stock size tires which would help if you ride two up.
