It looks more like a Canadian 1990, or a USA 1991. The 98 USA units had red stripe around the silver decal of “ST1100” if I recall

I agree with USA 91 as it has a smaller ‘box’ on the side just in front of the saddlebag- the later bikes had the elongated plastic in that area (my 94 has the smaller one and the 2000 has the elongated one).

Also, the triangular plastic at the upper windshield screw was not on the later bikes, just the early ones (same as above- 94 has it, 2000 doesn’t).

Along with the smaller scuff panel, the black 91s' right sidepanel lacks a hole to reach the rear damper adjustment screw. At minimum one was present on the next year where black was offered.

My 91 has the shock adjustment hole.
