Probably just loose hose clamps..

Remove fairing.. tighten hoses, should do it.. but, that's just a guess.. you won't know for sure until you spot the actual leak.

Thanks, thats what I am hoping it is, thats what was wrong when my st1100 did the same, it looks like its a bit of a daunting task to take the fairing off though, i might enlist the help of of one of my mates who used to work at the local honda dealership.

Removing that part of the tupperware really isn't much of a task... getting to all the hose clamps is another matter entirely. Many of them are behind the radiator and under the air chamber where they require quite a bit of time to reach...

Check the hoses by the thermostat if you see dried coolant on hoses, also check for crack hoses,I had to keep filling my overflow tank before I checked my hoses and they were loose.

My '04 ST started out about 6 weeks ago smelling of antifreeze and then last week I had a puddle under the radiator. It turned out that the O ring on the thermostat housing was leaking. You have to pull the radiator to access the thermostat.

My '06 had about 8,000 miles with the same symptoms, ended needing a thermostat and gasket replacement (under warranty), no problems since.
