After searching the net and many bids on ebay I finally decided to just buy a new top box from Cruiser Backrest for the ST1300.

I could have bought a Givi for less but the ST1300 stock top box just looks right on the bike.

Anyway it was between David Silver Spares,CBX Man and Cruiser Backrest, David Silver Spares was slightly less than Criuser Backest( shipping from England was the deal breaker), CBX Man was more than Cruiser Backrest so I went with Cruiser Backrest, I was able to get them on the phone easily and they had the silver box in stock, mailed it today.....

Overall very good to deal with...just wished Honda had brought the boxes in to the states.

Now I want a set of saddlebags from europe for my CBRXX

David Silver Spares and Cruiserbackrest had very close to the same bottom line price including shipping when I bought my top box. I bought from Cruiserbackrest because it would cost more to ship to back to DSS if I had to. I don't think one could go wrong with any of the three vendors.
