Dash Mount - Migsel-ish

Among these is my version of the migsel dash top mount. An old aluminium ladder, some SS fasteners and a couple of fibre ram balls. Solid.

While I don't like to promote other designs of these:)....
Why didn't you use the stud that bolts the bracket down for holding the ram ball mount also. Then you would only have 4 bolts total.

I'm concerned about the dash being able o take the vibration and weight of a GPS when on a rough road, the dash is unsupported at the mount points, has anyone using this farkel had a problem?:03biker:

And I made this one from scrap. Since then I've made three for friends (down to about 90 minutes to crank one out, including the trip to Elliott's Hardware for bolts and parts). Apart from the Ram balls the total cost (aluminum, bolts, caps, etc.) is a little less than $12 and can hold (securely) up to three devices.
