When I mounted the GPS on the dash the first time my eyes couldn’t keep up with the bouncing.
So I firmed up the dash. 236587236588236589236590236591236592
works well now.

My Garmin is attached to the lower center of the windshield with a suction cup mount; no bounce at all.

I also mount mine to the windshield with the suction cup. No problems at all, no bounce, etc. When the windshield is all the way down the bottom of the Garmin is just above the dash. Easy-peasy. But, nice job shoring up your dash panel. Some Garmin models are heavier than others. A lot of great ideas and fixes out there!

The Migsel dash mount is the way to go. Solid as a rock. It is low-profile, unobtrusive and has mount possibility for other items.

Excellent!
