Dumb Question?

So I'm thinking of getting the Sonic springs and changing the fork oil...can I suck it out of the fork tubes or do I Have to pull the forks.....looking for the easy way out.....thanks guys.......flyfisher

These are cartridge forks so sucking what fluid you can out of the top leaves a large amount still in the fork. It is not even easy to change the springs out the top ....... the handlebars overhang the fork caps.

It really isn't that hard to drop the forks out once you get started.

Not a dumb question.. just a *I hope I'm wrong* question...

You knew you were going to have to pull them, pump them empty and then pump them as you fill them *and* measure the distance (don't do volume!)...

Just curious why there should be a difference between volume and measurement? Scratching head here..............thanks, flyfisher

The forks have compartments inside them that trap fluid.
If you don't pump all the fluid out and then add the *right* amount of fluid you will have more fluid in the forks than you should/need.
It isn't easy to pump all those compartments empty either.
