Shaving cream works too, just like on bathroom mirrors.

Dish washing liquid actually works really well. You know the green stuff Er'Indoors uses to wash the dishes when the dishwashers knackered. Just rub it into your visor/glasses on the end of a finger in small circular motions until nearly dry then polish off. Works a treat but it's a bugger putting the bottle in the top box.
Shaving foam works great on flies too, if your visor or screen is covered while you're on the road just spray it on, let it soak and wipe it off.
