I have a MCCruise CC for my 06 ST. I lost the sensor that gets the signal from the magnets in the rear wheel. I contacted the company and they want $50 for the part and since they are in Australia it will cost around $30 to get it here, I don't have that kind of $$$:(. Does anyone know of a what to make my own sensor? There are 2 wires down where the sensor was I can connect to.

The sensor on my Mccruise looked to be the same as one in a generic cruise control kit I have used on cars that require a magnetic pickup off the tail shaft.

Tony and Frank have always been real helpful at answering my questions. Why not just ask them directly for a generic equivalent. I'd be surprised if they don't help you out.

I talked to Tony and he said there was nothing universal that would fit, the parts he has would be the cheapest way to go.

Guarantee (without putting money on the table. :D) the generic mag. pickup will work. I've used the one from the CCS100 (not needed on the ST) to replace a missing one on my MC/Cruze. All'a same same. :D

Ought'a be a ton of those sensors laying in various tool boxes. I'm pretty sure I've got a couple. Let me know if you can't find one closer and I'll take a look. Keep us posted.

I think I'm at a bit of a loss, do they sell these at a typical auto parts stores or where should I be looking for a sensor?

Try Ebay or other site. Look for "Rostra 250-4165 Universal Speed Sensor" or similar parts. You can also try "Dakota Digital" which is the same as Rostra.
Says Universal, so hopefully it's compatible with your cruise control...
Hope you can find a good price somewhere with free shipping.

I have a new one from a ccs-100 that you can have.
As I expected. Since those of us with CCS-100s use a spark signal, no need for the mag pickup. Ought'a be a ton of'em laying around. I've used mine (same situation as you) so can't help.

Congrats! Glad to hear of your happy ending. Sorry that the guys from McCruise weren't more helpful.
