my 1995 st1100 181000km has a Hitachi LD125-52 alternator on it. works well.
I’ve just realized it’s not an original part.
what motorcycle would this of been off..??

oh well about to do a 7500km round trip to Tasmania so that.
what is the best way to check alternator health.
i have 1.4 on each winding AC setting??

If you have access to your three prong plug disconnect it and use this guys method (see Link) for checking the stator windings. With the plug disconnected start the bike and make the test. Think of the wires as A, B, & C. Check across A&B, A&C, and B&C. The AC voltage should be within a couple of points. This is the same test in the video.
