Left Aurora bright and early this morning, headed on over to
for a bite to eat. (if you went to WeSTOC last year, you might remember it) I had the steak 'n egg breakfast, and Judy had the ham 'n cheese omlette... I would have taken pictures, but by the time I got the camera
ready, the plates were empty...
On down US 285 we headed,
a bit hazy today, so the pix are not that great.
We were headed for here:
First thing I thought was that Sherob's cat would have a ball here...
If you look, you can see people on the dunes.. We are about a mile
away from the dunes. Was gonna walk up the nearest dune but it would
have been a 3 mile round trip.. Got part way there and found out that the
soft sand was putting a bit of a strain on my back, so, discretion being the better part of valor we retreated back to the cage

Ended the day in Alamosa, had supper at a place called
"True Grits".. We both had the 14 oz Ribeye....
Absolutely fantastic.. Highly recommend the place, it's
on 116, in East Alamosa.
Tomorrow we head for 149, Craig, Leadville, and who knows where..
