There is a very simple thing you can do to channel more of the heat away from you. Remove the side panels and the faux tank cover. Install some heavy duty aluminum foil in the area where the side panels and the faux tank cover meet. This eliminates most of the heat radiating from seam between them and helps keep you cooler. I do this in the warmer months and then remove them in the cooler months. It's cheap, it works, and its reversible.
