...ain't encouraging. #1 and #2 cylinders' exhaust valves are all at .008. Mark's shim kit doesn't have any 195s or 198s so I gotta head to Honda in the AM. All the rest of the exhausts are at .009 so ought'a go down one size. Found 202s in all the left side buckets, haven't opened the right set yet.

Only one intake at .005, all others right on .006. Not gonna open'em up.

More tomorrow when I get back from Route 66 Honda.

Mark, I used'em up doing STick and ReSTored. I'll get refills. Gotta haul it to 'nother Mark this Friday. There's quite a few 200, 202, 205. I added 16 out of The Hulk but they were mostly 208 (if I recall.)

<edit> just ordered refill 1.80 to 2.05, 5 of each size. Priority mail so hope it'll be here before I leave on Friday for Mesa.

<edit 2> O,o,o,o! I can break into ReSTored's defunct engine and pull shims from there! She ain't gonna need'em. New engine (with cams in place) is on the way from New Joisey!

No worries. Didn't know if it was you or someone else. It's been awhile since that kit's been in my hands, and I can't remember if I opened the shim kit up last time it passed through Blrfl's Cycle Center.

Fixed that for you...
I actually bought just a refill kit for the valve job I did in December last year. I figured I'd never need the whole shim range in a kit. If I remember right, I bought the 1.50 - 1.75 refill for 32 bucks.

All mine are between 190 and 205 so ordered that refill.

In the meantime, I pulled all the shims from ReSTored and added'em to the kit. The new motor comes complete with cams 'n shims. So I've added 32 to the total and will add the refill when it gets here.

LipSTick is now perfectly shimmed. Also went back thru the low-speed air jets, then the carb synch. Can hardly wait for Friday!

Aux fuse box is "fixed", additional 12V drop for the radar added, dressed up all the farkle wiring. Cruise control tomorrow.

Oh yeah, moved the Ron Major risers from ReSTored so I can use the Keith Rosendahl cup holder. :D
