1. tire is a 59W that sufficient for a ST???
2. if the answer to question 1 is "yes",
will someone please send a message to SWmoto
and let them know that Metzler is in fact making
a 880 front tire that is sized for the ST1300??
(am having a running conversation with them trying
to order a 880 F&R combo for the 1300 :) )

I now have 12K miles on my Z6/880 combo... Seems like the
closer you get to the wear bars, the slower they wear... Z6 is
getting a bit thin, 880 still has a "fair" amount of tread.. gonna run
these into the ground just to see what kind of life I can get out of them.
Will have to change them out before heading for Colorado at the end of the
month, and want to switch to the 880/880 combo if the front is going to
be available..

Have been chatting with SWMoto... Seems as if Metzler never informed them that
they were manufacturing that particular tire... One of the guys at SW said: "Go figure, we
are their largest U.S. distributor and they didn't even tell us".. Told em to send me a 880
set when they came in (should be in by the middle of May, but SW told me not to hold my breath).
I said I could put off needing the set till the end of May/first of June, or if the 880 front did not come in,
I would take the Z6/880 combo... Seems as if I am getting more miles out of them that I originally thought
that I would get.

Yes. The industry is pretty standardized. The 120/70R18 tire size from all manfactures I have seen all have a 59W load rating. That is the defacto standard for the tire size.

Putt,

I would watch that Z6 very closely.......they go away quickly with the cord showing. I am conservative on replacing tires, but have had two rear Z6s get into the cord on me. I went back to the Z6 front and the ME880 rear this time.

Dennis,

I am running the Z6 front 880 rear at the present time..
Not taking any "long" trips, (tires are too worn for that) just "short"
(100-300 miles) till the new set comes in... The z6 is wearing a bit
faster than the 880.
