I noticed the Metzler ME880 Touring in a catalog and that they come in the ST1300 size but I have never seen them mentioned on the forum. Does anybody use these tires? or do they not work well on the ST?

I'm on my second ME 880. Better mileage (10k miles), less grip in the wet. Not a bad tire for loaded touring, IMO.
I'm going to the Z6 rear next to wear out the Z6 on the front. There is no ME880 in the 120-70 18 front.

Try a little different search, there are a few discussions on the ME880.

I have been through two sets. Used the ME880 rear in combination with a Metz Z6 front. Both sets ended up being a good high mileage combo.
(10k ish) For me, the 880s were lumpy & noisy for at least the last 1/4 of service life. Living in Arizona I end up with lots of higher speed slab riding. usually over 100 miles to the first corner :(

Isn't the 880 called the Marathon? Did they come out with a 'Touring' version?...

Got a Motorcycle Superstore catalog that lists a 120/70ZR 18. Thats the front size.

The 880 for the ST front is available. I have been running one on my 03 for about 5,000 miles now. The 880 front I have found to be quite noisy at first. After some break in miles it isn't so bad. My rear 880 has about 11,500 miles but it won't be long before I will replace it. I think I will try the Continental Road Attacks next time. The 880's are fine but it doesn't hurt to try something new once in a while. If they don't do well I might go back to the 880's.:03biker:

same here...again (Z6,880 setup) about 8k on the set. Not good on wet twistys but would do another set again. Took about 2k to break in for a smooth quiet ride.

I have the me880/z6 setup as well. 4500 miles and they still look pretty new. Preferred the OEM Bridgestones however, they felt more stable at high speeds.
