Wolf Pen Gap is the first part, then hwy 348 is great... the rest is so so... until the last section which is nice.

I rented a Yamaha FJR 1300 out of Atlanta three years ago and ran all those roads east, north and west of Helen as day rides out of Helen. Had a blast.

North Georgia is about as good as it gets, or North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia. The tar snakes can get ugly about Mid July.
