Just replaced my N103, which I didn't like, with a N104, which I do, and I now have to fit a J&M headset . I know that Sierra can fit one for me but can't see why I can't do it myself - I have no qualms about drilling the shell but it would help to have either install details, or pictures, of a J&M headset installed in the 104.
I could use the J&M headset clamp-on method, but that was one of the reasons I stopped wearing the Shoei helmet. The N104 N-com headset connector to shell fitting is nothing like the N102 or N103 helmets, so not sure where the J&M shell mounted connector would go in the 104 helmet. Any assistance appreciated.
Cheers guys,
Andy

I ordered my 104's with headsets installed. I hope this will help.

Appreciate the effort but that's the N103 helmet pictured - same as what I now have on the 102 & 103.

The 104 has a much smaller Nolan headset connection and it looks like the J&M headset socket is mounted in another location on the helmet to the Nolan headset.

Drilled hole in the right side of my original 104 ( with a step dril) and now the 104 absolute. Maybe 50k miles in the helmets - no issues. Cannot believe that there is any change at all in integrity. Only issue is that it is on the rh side. See pic.
