Guys and Gals of the ST-owners I need some help!!!

I am in need of Float Needles! I have looked high and low and no one offers after market float needles.

Does anyone know of an after market source? If not does anyone know of a Honda source that doesn't want 200.00 for a set of 4?

There are quite a few on E-Bay. Complete carbs for sale (set of four). Anywhere from make an offer to $95-$195.00.

I've been looking for a reasonable priced set of needles & seats for my ST1100 , too. I've spent a lot of time digging and came up with no direct substitute. So I sprung for a set of needles & seats for a '86 Honda VF1100C from Z1 Enterprises, Inc. The VF1100C also has Keihin VD carbs , has four cylinders and puts out more HP than the ST1100, so I took a chance and ordered a set ( gambled, but @ $7.30 each I thought it was worth the gamble). The Z1 part number is KL18-4616 . They are made in Japan.

Turns out the stock items are size 2.6 and the KL18-4616 are size 2.4, so the stock items can flow a bit more fuel , but I don't think this will be a problem, since the VF1100C puts out more horsepower. And the VF1100C may not have a fuel pump like the ST1100 does. The fuel pump should enhance flow. The seats are identical, except for a slightly larger bore. The needles are about 0.02 inches smaller in diameter. The lenghth of the needles are the same. The bike runs just fine with these needles & seats installed. I don't anticipate any problems.

UPDATE : Checked my gas mileage after putting 120 miles since the needles & seats were replaced. Got 47.8 mpg - Some interstate, a little in-town but mostly 2-lanes. So it looks like those VF1100C needles & seats are working fine. She buzzed along great at 85 mph on the interstate, too. These old ST1100's are awesome, IMHO. And she is more comfortable with the new homebrew handlebar risers installed, too.
