need help identifying a hitch please

I bought one from a member but I do not think it fits my bike. Please tell me what you think. THe second hitch is one a member had for sale. I am trying to verify one that will fit a 98 ST1100 non ABS

Yes. Supposed to have come off a 02. Are they different from year to year. I am just trying to find one that will work and I am a little gun shy now.

Whoever sold you the first one deserves to be smacked in the head with it. I would have been embarassed to give it away.
The second ought to attach to the tail frame in 4 places and also to the mounts for rear pegs or the mounts for that aluminum that holds the rear pegs.
I can't say for certain that there was no difference, but it is unlikely that they would change the frame design through the production run. You will have to just remove some parts and try to fit it.

I have not bought it yet. i was hoping someone would tell me that knows if it would work or not. Please some Guru let me know.
