My brother's passing brings a DRZ-400 into my life. Not sure how often I will get out and ride it, but the prospects are promising. Does anyone else have one of these? I have to admit I am not a dual sport expert.

Sorry about your brother's passing. The DRZ is a very capable on-off roader. I had one for a while and had a lot of fun with it. Lots of power for a 400.

I have a DRZ400S, the electric start street-legal version (to which I added a kick starter.) It's a much better off-road bike than I am an off-road rider. It's also decent on the street around town, but not great for sustained highway speeds. For it's intended purpose, I don't think you can beat it. I just bought a KLR650, which is more suited to my particular needs. I'll probably be selling the DRZ eventually, since the two overlap.

Sorry to hear about your brother. The DRZ400 is an awsome machine. I also have a DR650 along with my ST. I am very happy with both. Take care and enjoy the new bike.

I, too, am sorry to hear about your brother. The DRZ is a very capable bike. For my d/s riding, I use a BMW F650 because the seat height is lower and fits me better.
