Just bought this bike cover, for the ST1100, on ebay.
It is made by North East Harbor, manufacturer product number 4305XR-988LT

At $ 22 US, althought very thin, I thought it would be OK for a temporary solution, for travelling, etc.
It says it will fit the ST1100... but have a look.

To make it fit, I had to completely remove my windshield. What ?
Yep. I removed the windshield, just to see it fit perfectly (the spots for mirrors, handlebars) when the windshield is off.
When I tried it whit the windshield, the pockets for the mirrors where just too high.
Just without windshield, as seen on the picture, you can see how a tight fit it is.

My two "pannier" in the back were also removed when I tried it. Not sure it will fit with the "pannier" on.

So, does it fit for the ST1100 ? Not really well (unless you remove your windshield).
Too bad they don't have the right dimension with the windshield. Can't understand how this could happend.

Can't remember where I bought this from but it'll go over the extended screen, top box and panniers.
It would have been cheap and I only use it as a dust cover but it must be at least 4 years old now.
Sorry for the lousy piccie.

I have two of the same XL Dowco Guardian covers, one on my fully-dressed Nighthawk, and the other on my ST. Both fit great.
It's surprising that the fitment sheet from Dowco says L for a variety of cover styles and XL for other styles.

I got one that fits. Its a Honda oem one. Has a soft pad for the windshield so it won't scratch. Wife bought it years ago as a present. You might see if Honda still has one?

A few years back ( wow, 9 years ago), I bought a cheapie from Wal-Mart, I think it was 18$, and it has traveled all over with me. It is silver in color, and does a reasonable job of keeping bike dry and clean. Fits bike really well, is easy to put over the bike and take back off and stuff into it's sack.

I've been using EZ Touring covers for around 30 years. I like the Traveler half-covers for, well, traveling. They cover the essentials but take up a minimal amount of space in storage. Fairly expensive, but super durable and made in USA. Size A for our portly STeeds. If one of the 12 stock colors they offer doesn't resonate with your style sensors, call them.

Just found a new feature of my dust / rain cover : the grommet just happend to be exactly in-line with the tip of the side stand when the bike is on the center stand. I found that out by pure luck, next morning, after having set my cover in the dark.20200629_143208.jpg

The Dowco cover has a soft fibre pad for the windshield also, but it looks like Christian has already made the purchase. Maybe he could tell us if he bought the Guardian?

If there are two grommets, one on either side, like on my 25 year old Guardian, then you can secure them together under the bike. That's a better option for keeping the cover well secured in place, especially in windy areas. I use one of those closable hooks you find on a fish stringer.

Didn't ordered it yet Bush. But when I'll do, that will be the Guardian. I have to listen to what you guys are saying, once in a while.

Can you believe that only in june, I manage to order for $500 of engine oil, gearcase oil, brake fluid, coolant, rear tire, few tools (tire irons, brake bleeding valve, filter wrench)... and I'm probably forgeting something.

Oh and my motorcycle driving course (a little thousand).

So when my lovely wife kindly suggested me that maybe another dust/rain cover and a second windshield could wait until next month, or the other one, I couldn't resist to say : "yes dear.... You're absolutely right : I totally agree with you".

As the old saying says : happy wife, happy life !
