Shipped the kids off to camp for 2 weeks. Momma & I decide to head to Albuquerque NM taking the long way through Leadville, Buena Vista, Gunnison, Montrose, Ouray, Silverton, Durango, Mancos and a stop at Mesa Verde before heading to Taos and finally Albuquerque.
Every where along the trip, was very careful to watch where I rode & parked. Rode through torn up roads with water sprayed on the dirt (like grease) to gravel parking lots. Never dropped the STeed.
After a long 4 day trip headed home, stopped in Monte Vista about 6:30 a.m. to stretch & warm up in a NAPA parking lot. Give momma the OK to hop on. Start to pull out and notice I am not aimed towards the drive way cut in the curb. Start to swing around through a gravel filled, sloped area of the parking lot and ker-plunk.
Dropped her over on the right side with the Mrs. on back. After looking at the steed laying on its side, momma said "now what?"
My response was "help me pick this thing up"
Looks like I got off easy. Need to place a call to MCL for a new cover.
